Baxter’s Decorating Service: Terms and Conditions
Baxter's Decorating Service collects the minimum amount of personally identifiable information necessary to provide and improve our service. Data we collect includes any or all of the information you provide while using our website and/or other communication services.
Use of Information
Baxter's Decorating Service will never sell your data to third parties. We may use the personal information collected specifically for contacting you regarding a quote, invoice or for our own limited marketing purposes. If you would like to opt out of this marketing please contact us directly. Personal information that we process for any reason won’t be kept longer than is necessary for those purposes. We will take reasonable measures to prevent the loss or misuse of your personal information (e.g. encryption).
Our guarantee lasts from one calendar year after the date of completion. This covers all decorating work undertaken by Baxter’s Decorating Service, unless specified otherwise. This does not cover intentional and accidental damage.
Duration, Termination and Delays
Any quote, without acceptance, will stand for one calendar month. If you still require our services after this date, you can get a new quote by contacting us to arrange another consultation.
Baxter’s decorating Service reserves the right to terminate any contract with one week’s full notice. If we do decide to terminate, and as long as the customer’s responsibilities are met, the deposit is refundable.
Unfortunately, because of the COVID-19 virus, delays are sometimes unavoidable. Any dates given are always approximate and are unfortunately not guaranteed. However, we endeavour to keep any date proposed.
Risk to goods
We ask that any high-risk valuable or sentimental items are removed from the area being decorated. If an accident occurs solely, through the fault of Baxter’s Decorating, we hold full public liability insurance we are insured up to £5,000,000. Proof can be provided on request.
When the work is completed, the finished project will be viewed in conjunction with the customer and one of our decorators. Together it will be checked and signed off.
Fees and Payment
In advance of every project, we ask for a 20% deposit within two weeks of acceptance of the quote provided. This will secure your place in our calendar. See customer responsibilities for more information on the conditions of the deposit. If this is not received within the two weeks, the booking will be cancelled.
Although we try to ensure all quotes reflect the final amount. Under certain circumstances there may be added charges. These will be discussed and agreed upon before any work is undertaken and charged for. Once all the work has been checked and the customer is satisfied with the finish, the remaining amount on the invoice is to be paid in full on receipt. We may ask for a part payment to cover any specialised costs during work;
You will grant access to the work space on the dates we have agreed to. If access is not granted at the agreed times, fees may incur. Invoices are to be paid on receipt as we offer no credit facilities. Late fees will be applied if the invoice becomes a week overdue. Please contact us directly if you are having difficulties paying.
Disposal of waste occurring from the project is the responsibility of the customer. If you would like us to dispose of waste occurring from the project, there is a £50 surcharge.
We will not tolerate abuse or ill treatment. This will result in the termination of your contract.
If for any reason you need to delay the booking (except from instances covered under our COVID-19 section) 2 weeks notice is required.
Giving us under 2 weeks notice or cancelling the booking for any reason unless otherwise stated, we reserve the right to keep 50% of the deposit to cover our net losses.
Baxter’s Decorating Service follows all COVID-19 laws and government guidelines. At this current time we are allowed to continue our work. However with the ever changing Covid-19 climate, we may have to stop work or we may suffer delays.
We always have our customers' safety as our top priority and sanitise/ wear masks/ social distance wherever possible. We will never penalise a customer for becoming ill or isolating due to COVID-19. If this occurs, Baxter’s Decorating Service will rearrange the work at another time at your convenience. If this is not possible we will cancel the booking and refund your deposit. Thank you for all of your continued support and cooperation. We hope you can show understanding and consideration in these trying times.
At Baxter’s Decorating Service we love to build and share our portfolio. We will often take photos and even small video’s before, during and after. We can use these images in a number of ways to help grow our business. This includes but is not limited to marketing, social media and our use on our website, www.baxtersdec.co.uk. We will never use identifying information such as names or addresses.
We are happy to respect your privacy. If you would prefer we not share images of your project please let us know directly. If for any reason you change your mind at a later date you can withdraw consent at any time.
Cooling off period
You have 14 days from the date of accepting the quote to cancel the contract. As long as no materials or services have been provided, any deposit paid is fully refundable. After this we reserve the right to keep 50% of the deposit paid to cover our net losses.
